We were delighted to attend the official opening of a new kitchen at the Wymondham Dementia Support Group last month where we, along with The Wymondham Rotary Satellite Group, donated almost £3,000 each to pay for the kitchen.
The Wymondham Dementia Support Group provides help and support to people with dementia, their carers and families. It is a voluntary organisation that is run to provide a safe, friendly and understanding environment for people affected by dementia.
The kitchen, at the groups base at Fairland Church, which is also used for the Pabulum Café and other activities was in great need of refurbishment and both ML and the Wymondham Rotary Satellite Group were happy to be able to donate the funds required to provide new kitchen units, worktops as well as new floor covering. The new facilities, which are now much safer, enable the catering for the group to be carried out in a more pleasant space.
Simon Lister, Managing Director, ML Financial Associates, said; “ We are absolutely delighted that we have been able to help out this fantastic support group within the local community. The support group is a voluntary organisation with people giving up their time to make the group a success and we wanted to recognise this, do our bit and play our part. We are delighted at how the kitchen has turned out and we hope that the Wymondham Dementia Support Group enjoy the kitchen as much as we have enjoyed providing it for them.
