Craig McClurg set up Norfolk-based ML Financial Associates in 2011 with fellow business partners after their departure from a larger firm. The firm is on course to more than double its assets under advice since 2012 this year, having attracted new clients through a combination of pension seminars and a client referral scheme.
“We’ve run seminar programmes for three years now and that’s been a very successful source,” says McClurg. “The rest come through client referrals; we like to take a softer approach. We show a video to introduce prospective clients to the firm.”
