Hello and welcome to our latest e-newsletter, our first edition of 2026. We hope the year has started well for you.
February often feels like a turning point — the days are slowly getting lighter, the first signs of Spring are on the horizon, and there’s a sense that the year is beginning to gather momentum.
Across the world, there’s certainly plenty going on. Economically, markets continue to respond to shifting interest rate expectations, global political developments and rapid advances in technology. Here in the UK, businesses and households alike are navigating a landscape that feels more stable than it did this time last year, yet still full of change.
As always, our focus remains on helping you look beyond short-term noise and stay anchored to your long-term plans.
Of course, life isn’t just about finances. This time of year also offers a gentle reminder to reset and refocus personally. As Spring approaches, many of us naturally start thinking about fresh routines — whether that’s getting outdoors more, reviewing personal goals, prioritising wellbeing or simply making time to pause. Small, positive changes can have a powerful impact over time, much like steady investing.
In this month’s newsletter we keep with the theme of valentines and have prepared an article as to why protection planning is one of the greatest acts of love. We also give our thoughts on short dated gilts and follow that up with a couple of fantastic bits of ML news which we are delighted to share with you.
We hope that you enjoy and find useful this month’s edition of our e-newsletter and should anything you read prompt any questions then please do not hesitate to contact us – we are here for you!
Kind regards
